-The more you think about something, the worse it becomes. Overthinking can be one’s worst enemy. Take it easy, breathe, and do not question something unless there is something that gives you reason to.

-Many people fake their happiness, so it’s not sensible to compare your happiness to this facade because after all, it may just be an image. Genuine happiness comes from within — and that feeling does not need affirmation from anyone but yourself.

-Everyone is fighting some kind of battle. Everyone. Whether it’s an eating disorder, loneliness (which was my case), depression, a mental illness, familial problems — we all have something. Nobody has a perfect life, but we can always try to help ease the difficulty of that reality by helping others.

-There are many of us that fail to find our niche our first year in college. I’m one of them, but that’s okay. If there’s one thing that college has taught me and taught me well, is to keep trying even if the odds are against you.

-College and all things concerning it is your responsibility. But it’s also all within your power, so take charge and hold onto the reins. I need to remember that college is not a time for laziness.

-A smile can really make your sun shine brighter, your clouds sheerer, your air fresher. I think you can always find reasons to love your college if you really give it a chance. I’m still patiently working on my relationship with mine.

It’s funny how I seemed to have learned a lot more about life than of academics itself. Maybe that’s what college is for.

I don’t have many things I want to do in this world, so for things to make it onto this list means that I sincerely do want to accomplish the following things.

1. Visit Australia, Taiwan, and Dubai
2. Buy my own house
3. Swim in the Atlantic Ocean
4. Paint a mural
5. Go on a road trip up and down the West Coast
6. Watch a filming of the Ellen show
7. Pet and hug a panda
8. Be an extra on some sort of movie/TV show
9. Go to a The Script concert
10. Run a marathon
11. Go parasailing
12. Adopt and raise a bunny and dog
13. Donate money to important but neglected non-profits
14. Go to an observatory
15. Spend an entire day birdwatching
16. Tandem bike along the beach
17. Learn how to play guitar
18. Create a scrapbook
19. Help make someone else’s dream come true
20. Go camping
21. Go to all of the six flags in the US
22. Be able to speak Spanish and Mandarin fluently
23. Repay my parents back in some way for all that they have done for me
24. Ride a horse
25. Go to a yoga class
